Overcoming the shackles of not good enough

'Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all of the barriers within yourself that you have build against it.'

Rumi

It's a phenomenon that resonates across the spectrum of human experience - how the notion of  'not enough' can stealthily entwine itself in our endeavours, restricting both our audacity to take risks and our fortitude to see tasks through to completion.  How precisely does the insidious grip of not 'good' enough hinder you? What impedes your full-hearted embrace of new challenges? What inner convictions curtail your inquisitiveness and confine you to your present station?

In the big picture of life, should we really allow other people's opinions and our own limiting beliefs to govern our dreams and aspirations? If we think about it for a moment, we hear lots of stories about successful people who never gave up, despite facing innumerable obstacles and negative feedback. Stories told by both the famous and people we know. So what is it that gets in our way?

Who decided that you're:

Not smart enough

Too old

Not confident enough

Without necessary abilities

Not skilled enough ....... etc

Undeniably, there's no escaping the price of admission that comes with our choices in life. Our success however rests upon arming ourselves with courageous self knowledge and crystalline clarity about what truly satiates our souls to propel us forward. So we can map out the incremental steps to generate change and creatively work around our challenges. Forging ahead to imagine our twilight years, we will think it logical to have allowed "not.......enough" to have restricted our path?

The clarion call echoes - the time has come to transcend these self-imposed constraints. Let us march forth, unburdened by the weight of inadequacy, for each step, regardless of its perceived magnitude, draws us closer to a destiny unmarred by the whispers of 'not good enough.'

What will be your very next step?
